These prints are from a painting by Margot Jurgens that includes a quote by Richard Rohr “Prayer is sitting in the silence until it silences, us, choosing gratitude until we are grateful, and praising God until we ourselves are and act of praise” Margot had fun playing with the vibrant pink background with the salmon color of the flamingo. Why a flamingo to go with this quote? It came from the idea of standing or sitting in silence and how the flamingo stand on one leg ever so patiently for long periods of time. Margot has long been fascinated by what the various creatures reveal to us about Creator God. What lessons can we learn from the graceful flamingo?
